ADT’s detector is based on FFT analysis which reads the incoming sound and registers what is a good hit based upon the selected mode - kick, snare and toms, and it can be influenced by “fingerprints” - a set of instructions can be tweaked by the user to flag good hits that triggers the sound from the bad hits that are suppressed. ADT can trigger up to four samples and these are highest-quality drums with the Addictive Drums pedigree, and each of the four samples has its distinct settings from drums and effects, which opens up a ton of possibilities, but ultimately it’s the sound detection methods and the dynamic response of its triggering that are the show-runners here.
